Alistair Overeem vs. Todd Duffee will be a five-round fight for the DREAM heavyweight title

It’s official. At the pre-fight conference just a few hours ago, FEG officials have announced that Alistair Overeem vs. Todd Duffee will be for the first DREAM Heavyweight title. Now place that tongue back into your head before you contract some sort of bacterial infection.

Originally pegged as a three-round, non-title bout, executives have come to the consensus that a match of this magnitude needs two extra rounds and a very blingy belt to go around one fighter’s waist by the end of the night.

Dynamite!! 2010 is dropping bombs on your naive little face this New Year’s Eve and there’s nothing you can do about it. From the same country who brought you Godzilla, Nintendo Wii and every toy you’ve played with since you were eight comes a conglomeration of rindunkulously exceptional fighters all under the roof of the Saitama Super Arena to make your eyes explode out of sheer amazement. This year marks only the third time Fedor Emelianenko has not competed on a New Year’s eve show organized by FEG since 2003. The fights look great, the hot DREAM ring girls look even better, and it all goes down on HDNet tonight/tomorrow morning at 4:00am EST/1:00am PST. Try not to get too indecently drunk tonight for no apparent reason so you can rush home and watch Todd Duffee and Alistair Overeem clash for the first DREAM Heavyweight title. [Source]
