You know there is something going on in the combat sports world when online gossip site TMZ is sending out a fight-related news release. As opposed to the usual inside scoop on a backstage brawl or something involving a lady of the night that might be a man of the night, instead it is about the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix Champion and newly signed UFC fighter Alistair Overeem. It appears that, like everything else with the Reem, he strategically released it just as his team was ready to file a lawsuit against Bas Boon.
According to the lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Overeem stupidly agreed to give his managers 35% of his pre-tax income in exchange for their services — but the managers failed him miserably.
