Alistair Overeem is OUT, Daniel Cormier is IN for the Strikeforce Heavyweight GP

Bigfoot Silva vs. Daniel Cormier on September 10th! We’re not sure what happened to Alistair Overeem, but we’re assuming his appearance on this morning’s The MMA Hour played a factor in Daniel Cormier replacing him. At least that’s what TATAME reported just minutes ago, a story that is now being corroborated by a few American MMA sources. It’s not clear whether Alistair Overeem has been cut from ZUFFA or if he just opted out of the fight, but we’re just two months away from 8-0 Daniel Cormier stepping into a semi-final slot in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix.

Wow, just wow. [Source]
