Volkanovski has already pointed toward Evloev as the likely next contender after saying Evloev looked like the next man up. Abdelaziz’s post added pressure from Evloev’s side while the UFC has yet to formally announce the champion’s next defense.
Evloev is unbeaten at 20-0. His UFC run includes wins over Diego Lopes, Dan Ige, Arnold Allen, Aljamain Sterling, and Lerone Murphy. The Murphy result came at UFC London, where Evloev edged Murphy and kept his record clean.
