Alexander Volkanovski Tips The Scale 144.5 For UFC 240 Main Headliner Bout Back-Up

UFC just held the UFC 240 ‘Holloway vs. Edgar’ PPV MMA event weigh-ins. All the fighters successfully make weight for tomorrow’s fight. UFC wouldn’t be taking any chances, so they brought in top featherweight contender Alexander Volkanovski for a potential replacement for main headliner bout in case someone withdraws between Max Holloway or Frankie Edgar.

Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar both made weight for tomorrow’s title fight. Promotion knows a thing that in the past, Holloway was deemed unfit to compete at UFC 223 due to weight cut issues. So they wanted to be safe than sorry this time by having Volkanovski as a backup option.

Volkanovski is expected to take on the winner of Holloway vs. Edgar at upcoming UFC 243 this October in Melbourne. So we can expect ‘The Great’ to be in attendance at tomorrow’s event.
