Alexander Gustafsson just made knocking out Jimi Manuwa look easy at UFC London

Before I go on with this article, I’m going to leave this image right here. Don’t worry, it’s solely for me.

So remember that time when I said Jimi Manuwa was going to finish Alexander Gustafsson? Great, no one does. That’s the advantage of being an MMA fan — short term memory is essentially void. In reality I was just hoping Manuwa would defeat Gustafsson so that Daniel Cormier would be next in line for a title shot instead of a rematch between The Mauler and Bones Jones. I’m afraid of how that bout would go, but I absolutely know Cormier has something for Jones that he’s never seen inside the Octagon.

Within two rounds, Alexander Gustafsson made Jimi Manuwa looked like he belonged back in UCMMA. It appears the knee to the head was the beginning of the end for Manuwa, and it took seconds for Gustafsson to capitalize on it to finish the previously undefeated fighter early in the second round. After the bout Gustafsson did a weird flip that appeared to be more like an accidentally flop than anything.

So there you have it, Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jon Jones II — that is if Jones gets passed Glover Teixeira in a few weeks. Props to Zprophet for the .gif.
