In the UFC, matchups can make or break a fighter’s path, and when it comes to Alex Pereira, the stakes are always high. Recently, former champion Michael Bisping shared his views on a possible clash between Pereira and light heavyweight contender Magomed Ankalaev. Bisping suggested that Ankalaev might face a tough time in the octagon.

Alex Pereira’s Next Opponent Could Face a KO Reality Says Former Champion

Magomed Ankalaev is widely recognized for his versatility and ability to adapt in fights. Despite his impressive size and skills, Bisping believes his strategic approach might not hold up well against Pereira. He implied that playing into Pereira’s strengths could lead to a quick and decisive end to the fight.

“When you look at some of the people Pereira beat, Khalil Rountree Jr., Jiri Prochazka, great fighters, but they do have some holes,” Bisping said. “Magomed Ankalaev is much bigger than those guys, he’s gigantic for the weight class… He’s not a Khabib-styled wrestler but he can wrestle, but he says he’s not gonna use it… He’s gonna go out there. He’s gonna trade with him and then probably get knocked out.”

Ankalaev has been actively seeking a chance to face Pereira, even issuing a direct challenge during UFC 308. While his determination and technical prowess make him a serious contender, there has been no confirmation of this fight taking place.

Pereira, known for his explosive power and precise technique, has already made waves by claiming the middleweight belt and moving up to light heavyweight. A fight between these two could offer fans an electrifying showdown, but as Bisping suggested, it might not last very long.
