UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is not someone you’d want to mess with, especially when it comes to his family. The knockout artist is known for his fierce fighting style, but he’s also fiercely protective of his sister, Aline Pereira, who is just starting to make waves in the world of combat sports.

Aline, a rising star in Karate Combat, recently scored an impressive knockout victory over Dee Begley in October during her debut fight. But while she’s gaining attention for her skills in the ring, she’s also juggling a day job. The 34-year-old has been working as an Amazon delivery driver to support her dream of becoming a full-time fighter. This side hustle has raised eyebrows, but it’s her determination to balance both worlds that really defines her.

Unfortunately, some media outlets have gotten it wrong. Alex Pereira stepped in recently after journalist Guilherme Cruz misrepresented his sister’s situation. According to Alex, the interview was edited to paint an unfair picture, leaving out important details about Aline’s hard work.

“Bro you almost cut off the recording after my sister said she was working,” Pereira wrote in Portuguese. “If you had no evil you would have asked if I helped in any way, but you knew if you prolonged the conversation you know I wouldn’t have a good material for you!”

“But for people who are trying to win in life, it would be very important! I will do an interview talking about it, at the best time and I will talk about your attitude to the interviewees and especially to my sister. You don’t deserve to have this kind of work with this evil in creating discord and transmitting it to the good people.”

Aline Pereira’s Focus on the Future

Despite the media stir, Aline remains focused on her career. She is set to take on Amanda Torres at Karate Combat 52, continuing her climb in the world of combat sports. Her October debut, which ended in a stunning knockout win, proved she has the talent to back up her dreams.

Preparing for UFC 313

While supporting his sister, Alex Pereira has a massive fight of his own to prepare for. He’s set to defend his light heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313, taking place on March 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. After a stellar 2024 that saw him deliver three knockouts and headline UFC 300, Pereira now faces one of the division’s toughest challengers.

“You’re Going to Get Media, Fire”

Pereira didn’t hold back in his closing remarks to the journalist, promising to shed more light on the issue in the future. “I will reinforce in the video Dana White stop and I’m going to get more behind-the-scenes insights with his coworkers, you like media so you’re going to get media, fire,” he wrote.
