While on his way to a sparring session with UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, former middleweight king Sean Strickland took a tumble off his electric scooter.

After suffering a brutal first-round knockout against ‘Poatan’ at UFC 276 a couple of years ago, Strickland and Pereira have formed an unlikely friendship with the two regularly training alongside one another. With Pereira scheduled to defend his 205-pound title on October 5 against the heavy-hitting Khalil Rountree, the ‘Brazilian Boogeyman’ has enlisted Strickland’s help in the gym.

Making his way to one of their sessions on a motorized scooter, Strickland was going a little faster than he anticipated and ended up falling off the device in a most hilarious fashion.

UFC interview Nina-Marie Daniele caught the incident on camera and promptly shared it on social media—much to the delight of fight fans.

“Oh no! My sparring partner,” Pereira yelled after witnessing the incident.

UFC Fans Troll Sean Strickland

As expected, fight fans had a field day in the comments on X, trolling Strickland hard for his scooter fail and his choice of footwear.

“Alex doesn’t even know Sean’s name. He’s just the sparring partner.”

“Bro just needed to make sure he could still spar.”

“Whats with this dude always wearing flip flops everywhere.”

“I think Sean had strong recovery after a dodgy dismount. Looked graceful lol!”

“It’s hard to believe they can actually be serious in training. They always look like they are having so much fun. Too funny.”

“Strickland’s better stick to destroying influencers’ faces.”

“The motorcycle accident suddenly makes more sense.”

“Dude gotta stop wearing the toe thongs.”

While Alex Pereira is only days away from his third light heavyweight title defense of 2024, Sean Strickland’s return to the Octagon is yet to be determined. In June, ‘Tarzan’ earned a split-decision victory over Paulo Costa to reassert himself as the middleweight division’s top-ranked contender.

Strickland is expected to run it back against reigning middleweight titleholder Dricus Du Plessis sometime in 2025 with the bout heavily rumored to go down in Du Plessis’ home country of South Africa.
