- Alex Pereira is challenging Magomed Ankalaev to donate $200,000 to charity after UFC 313
- “Poatan” wants the loser to donate the money and the winner will pick the charity
Alex Pereira wants Magomed Ankalaev to agree to donate $200,000 to charity after their UFC 313 title fight.
The champ has an offer
Pereira came up with a brilliant idea ahead of his light heavyweight title fight with Ankalaev at UFC 313 this weekend. On social media, “Poatan” issued a challenge to his upcoming opponent and wants the loser to donate $200,000 to the winner’s charity of choice.
“Since you are so confident you will win, $200,000 to the winners charity of choice. Win or lose this will help those in need. It’s in your hands @AliAbdelaziz00 @AnkalaevM,” the reigning champ wrote on X.

🗣️ Alex Pereira:
“Since Ali [Abdelaziz] and Ankalaev seem to be 100% confident that they’ll beat me, I think they will accept this challenge… they gotta bet, they have to.” 😳

It doesn’t have to be from Magomedov’s pocket
In a video on Instagram, Pereira made it clear that he is not forcing Ankalev. In fact, the Brazilian noted that the $200,000 donation doesn’t have to come from Ankalaev’s pocket.
“I am a person who is aware of everything that I say. And it doesn’t matter… If someone wants to sponsor him the $200,000 to put it in his name to make a bet, that’s no problem for me… I can lose but many people in need will win,” Pereira said in the video.
In a now-deleted post, Ankalaev stated that he plans to respond to Pereira’s challenge tomorrow.
Pereira is set to defend his light heavyweight title for the fourth time. He has finished all of his first three challengers via KO/TKO. On the other hand, Ankalaev has won 11 of his last 13 fights.
