On the day of his fight against Light Heavyweight prospect Demoreo Dennis, former UFC fighter Alex Nicholson is being accused of taking steroids. Myron Dennis, who is a part of Demoreo Dennis’s camp, claims that Nicholson was caught taking “supplements” in the bathroom before the 205 pound fight.
Alex Nicholas is fighting in North Carolina for Next Level Fight Club 8, and should be subject to a post-fight drug test under the North Carolina commission. But this is regional MMA, so who really knows?
This is not Alex Nicholson’s first brush with controversy. He introduced himself to the MMA world when corning for the infamous Mike “Platinum” Perry. While working his corner, he screamed racist comments to Perry’s opponent Hyun Gyu Lim. Later, the UFC investigated him for domestic abuse against his girlfriend in front of a 7-11, an incident Myron Dennis was quick to remind us of. The UFC cleared him after what I’m sure was a lengthy and thorough investigation.
Let’s see if this latest accusation is true, and how the post-fight drug test goes for “The Spartan” Alex Nicholson.
