If you come at the Cowboy you best not miss. Alex Hernandez missed so very hard at Cowboy Cerrone, Saturday night in Brooklyn it’s almost comical.
We had no idea who or what a Alex Hernandez was prior to UFC on ESPN + 1 Fight Night Brooklyn (yup), but this young pup sold the fight hard. Maybe too hard. Hernandez’s flung mountains on mountains of shit talk at Cowboy Cerrone.
Hernandez’s trash talk was so good and so real, he almost convinced us this was a passing of the torch kind of fight.
Cerrone has not fought at lightweight in awhile and he is getting up there in years. Plus, how about all that damage Cerrone has incurred on his body over the years? It all adds up.
Father Time remains undefeated and maybe Saturday night could have been Cowboy’s last ride.
Instead Hernandez got his spot blown the fuck up. All that trash talk he spit at Cerrone throughout the week, flooded right back into his mouth until he nearly choked. This was sweet Cowboy Justice and Hernandez has nobody to blame but himself.

Who knows, one day Hernandez may grow into a true lightweight contender. Cowboy will eventually have to hang up his gloves, but today (Jan. 21) is not that day. So let’s just enjoy watching Cowboy Cerrone shut up Alex Hernandez the best way possible.
