I don’t fully understand how a survival expert can get killed. Looks like he wasn’t doing his job after all. If I got into a car accident with a psychic, I would be really disappointed. The same can be applied to Aleksander Emelianenko. If you find yourself in a heavily wooded forest surrounded by bears, technically you have nothing to worry about. If Aleksander Emelianenko’s life was an RPG, he would have maxed out the skill points in his ‘Fork Bear Hunting’ ability.
The fact that this guy is not fighting for a major American promotion is one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of MMA. Up until December 18th 2010, Aleksander was riding on an eight-fight winning streak. Due to Peter Graham’s murderous leg kicks, Emelianenko literally collapsed in the second round and received his first loss since 2006. Any hope of Aleksander rebounding back from his previous loss was cut short by Magomed Malikov in just twenty-three seconds at M-1 Challenge XXVIII last month.
This morning in Kazakhstan, Aleksander Emelianenko grabbed a kimura win over Tolegen Akylbekov to finally receive his first win of 2011. Massive thanks to Anton D. for providing the video. Props to Shai Strahan for the illustration.
