  • Israel Adesanya did not like seeing Darren Till celebrate with Tom Aspinall at UFC London
  • Till responded and absolutely blasted Adesanya
  • The UFC middleweight champion has been wanting to fight “The Gorilla”

As Tom Aspinall celebrates his first-round victory over Alexander Volkov inside the octagon, Darren Till jumped onto the cage and celebrated with his teammate.

Israel Adesanya, who was having a great time watching UFC London on his television, got annoyed by Till’s appearance.

“Sit down, Darren!”

Adesanya’s immediate reaction when Till suddenly popped out of his TV screen was captured in the video uploaded on his YouTube channel. In it, “The Last Stylebender” could be heard saying, “Sit down, Darren!”

“Oh, sit down, Darren,” Adesanya said. “It’s not your moment. Sit the f*** down, it’s not your moment. Get the f*ck off.”

Adesanya’s brother would also chime in: “He hasn’t won in a while, let him enjoy it.” Team Adesanya would laugh hysterically after this.

Till clapped back at the champ

It didn’t take before Till learned about Adesanya’s reaction. Lifting the lid on the matter, “The Gorilla” called
Adesanya an “idiot” and revealed that Aspinall asked him to get onto the cage with him.

The Brit then unloaded more shots and told the middleweight champion to “stay off the cocaine.”

“Adesanya you idiot, Tom Aspinall asked me to get on the cage with him,” Till wrote on his Instagram story. “Keep looking down on me for my losses, brother, it’s all good. I’ll be here one day, you watch…

“You haven’t looked the best either in your last few fights. Stay off the cocaine, it’s not healthy for fighters.”

Adesanya has got his eyes on Till

After defending his title against Robert Whittaker last month at UFC 271, Adesanya admitted that he has been yearning to face Till. However, he claims that “The Gorilla” has been ducking him.

“I’ve tried to set it up so many times, but Darren Till hasn’t really stepped up,” Adesanya told Sky Sports last month. “And he’s fumbled the bag a few times.”

Adesanya added that he is certain Till can compete for the title but there’s no way he is dethroning him. As for where he wants the fight to happen, “The Last Stylebender” said he fancies beating the Brit in his home soil.

“He can get all the way up there. We’ll see. As long as I’m around, he’ll never have the belt though,” Adesanya boasted. “That’s why I want to get [Adesanya vs. Till] it done. The O2 [arena in London], we’d blow the roof off if we do that here. We’re in his back yard, but trust me, my people are everywhere. Nigerians are everywhere. And we’ll pack the O2.”

The fight between Adesanya and Till has been brewing since 2020. The pair has had their fair share of back and forth but has yet to meet inside the octagon to this day.
