Abdul Hussein finished Cody Gibson in his UFC debut, securing an arm-triangle choke at 3:07 of Round 3 Saturday at UFC Abu Dhabi.
The bantamweight bout took place on the preliminary card at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Gibson made the newcomer work deep into the fight before Hussein settled the action on the mat and forced the tap.

Hussein Finds The Finish Late
The official UFC result listed Hussein defeating Gibson by submission at 3:07 of Round 3, with the finish recorded as a head-and-arm choke.
That late tap came after the fight had moved beyond a quick-prospect showcase. Gibson, an experienced veteran and former Ultimate Fighter winner, forced Hussein to solve resistance before the debuting bantamweight finally closed the door.
The result moved Hussein’s winning streak to nine and gave the former IMMAF champion a successful first walk under the UFC banner. It also added another debut story to a card that had already shifted earlier Saturday when Islam Dulatov was pulled from his Wellington Turman fight due to illness.
