A Showtime Shogun Punch into guard happened at KSW today, kinda

Showtime Pettis is the Pixies of MMA. He laid the groundwork, and everyone else followed. Using the cage is the new loud quiet loud that the world adopted as the way to do things after Frank Black and Kim Deal dominated the alternative division of music with an iron fist. How can you deny the results?

Before Pettis, we rarely if ever saw moves involve the use of the cage, and now in less than 24 hours we’ve seen a Showtime Takedown at BattleGrounds MMA (no replay though, bummer) and this morning at KSW, a classic maneuver from Pride was recreated with that Showtime flare.

Unfortunately it was countered by a stiff double upkick, but damn, A+ for effort.
