If I didn’t know that the fight in this video happened in Michigan this past weekend, I might have wondered if the mature woman fighter named Sue Hemenway from this video was actually the person Ken Shamrock was attacked by last month while trying to break up a shopping mall fight. Supposedly Ken said he couldn’t immediately tell if the attacker was a man or a woman and the 61 year old woman who fought in this fight in Michigan this weekend has that same confusing androgenic look about her. I’m sorry call me elderly prejudiced but I expect my 60+ year old ladies to be sporting neatly coifed little curly blue gray colored hair do’s more so than I do a haircut that looks like Dan Akroyd from his Ghostbusting years.
Despite her ungranny-like haircut, Sue Hemenway got into the cage at a sanctioned MMA event this past weekend in Michigan and fought a chick in her 20’s. Granted the fight didn’t last more than a few seconds and Sue was caught by her much younger opponent in an armbar a la Ronda Rousey, at 61 she still got in there and put her balls (?) on the line and that’s pretty darn badass if you ask us.
