911 Call Released From Jorge Masvidal Attack On Covington

Masvidal attacked Covington outside of a Miami restaurant, striking him in the face. As a result, Covington suffered a chipped tooth and his $90,000 Rolex watch was damaged.

The attack took place in October, and Masvidal is facing charges of aggravated battery. He has since pleaded Not Guilty and is expected in court on August 17 for a pre-trial hearing on this case.

Now, TMZ has released a 911 call from the incident, which includes some interesting comments from the officers on-site.

In the recording, officers can be heard asking for more units to report to the location.

“Can we send a bunch of, or a few units …” he said. “If you could just send units on a three, please.”

This all happened weeks after Masvidal and Covington fought inside the UFC’s Octagon, headlining the UFC 272 pay-per-view (PPV).

Covington picked up the win, comfortably winning after five rounds by utilizing his wrestling for the majority of the fight.

The former American Top Team (ATT) teammates are actually also former best friends. However, their relationship turned sour once the pair reached championship contender status in the welterweight division.

After several months of back-and-forth, exchanging words through interviews and social media, the UFC booked the bad blood rivalry for PPV, however, even after the fight, things spilled out into the streets of Miami.
