If you’re a famous fighter that takes glamor shots — you’re most likely getting published on the site. As you’ve probably noticed, we’re not that much into ring card girls however. The talent it takes to smile as you hold a cardboard number above your head pales in comparison to arduous and seemingly endless fight training. The simple fact is ring card girls have nothing to do with MMA. Remove them from the sport, and the world will continue to revolve around the sun.
Earlier this year the news broke that Cris Cyborg tested positive for banned substances, effectively killing the 145lb women’s division in Strikeforce. Cyborg responded with the confusing statement that although she took steroids, she’s not a cheater. Regardless of your opinion of the former Strikeforce champion, one must admit that these new pictures of Cyborg off testosterone is sort of mind-blowing. I can already hear my father telling me ‘that Cyborg doesn’t look that that bad now that she’s off the juice.’ I hear my father in my head because I have some deep-seeded child hood trauma. Damn.
