- An MMA fighter knocked his opponent out with a wild spinning back fist at KSW 102
- The fighter was already covered in blood but managed to still finish his opponent
A Croatian MMA fighter pulled off a stunning comeback win despite already being battered and covered in blood at KSW 102.
What a comeback
Croatia’s Andi Vrtačić squared off with Poland’s Cezariusz Kęsik this past weekend at KSW 102 in a 192-pound catchweight bout. Kęsik finished the opening round with a decisive win, receiving a unanimous 10-9 score from all judges.
The hometown hero gained even more advantage in Round 2 after Vrtačić suffered a gruesome cut on his head. Nevertheless, the Croatian refused to back down and managed to make to the final round despite being bloodied.
Seemingly desperate to win, Vrtačić began to throw several consecutive spinning back kicks at Kęsik. It didn’t inflict much damage on the Polish fighter but things took a massive turn when Vrtačić followed it up with a brutal spinning back fist. It landed cleanly on Kęsik’s jaw and quickly sent him to the mat.
Vrtačić then finished the job by hitting his downed opponent with a couple of hammer fists until the referee in charge stepped in to stop the fight. Vrtačić was then declared the winner via TKO.

A great return fight
The comeback win over Kęsik saw Vrtačić securing his second victory under the KSW banner. It was a great way to make his return to the promotion, having won his KSW debut in 2023 via KO as well.
As it stands, Vrtačić is now on a two-fight winning streak and has a pro MMA record of 6-2.
