Winged C interrupted Karate Combat 61 by entering the pit during Curtis Millender vs. Claudio Ribeiro in Miami, forcing the referee to pause the fight while officials removed him from the fighting area.

The incident happened Saturday, May 2, at the KC Apex in Miami. The card had already lost its planned Patricky Pitbull main event after a pre-fight altercation left Pitbull cut. Patricky is a former Bellator lightweight champion, while Millender is a veteran of the UFC, Bellator, PFL, and LFA who has fought professionally since 2013.

Karate Combat launched in 2018 as a full-contact karate promotion built around its pit-style fighting surface. Winged C, real name Malcolm Schuyler, entered that area during an active bout while holding a white cane and appearing to pretend he was blind.

The situation reportedly continued after the event at a Miami hotel. Footage showed Winged C bleeding in the lobby while claiming Millender assaulted him following the interruption.

“Guys, I was just assaulted in the lobby,” Winged C said in the video. “Broke my wing. Look at this trail of blood, bro. I dropped him again. And I’m gonna call the security company, and police are coming.”

“You know that was a joke. Don’t assault people, brother. It’s not smart. I’ll post the video later. That’s it.”

Karate Combat 61 Gets Another Security Issue

Winged C later accused Millender of approaching him from behind.

“The bro came up behind me, started to punch me,” Winged C said. “Honestly, I wanted to apologize to him because I know he’s probably feeling some hard feelings. But hey, he’s kind of crazy.”

“Bro, our job is to get attention. If you’re at least gonna do some shit like that, put it on camera. Come on now.”

Entering the fighting area during a live bout creates a safety issue for the fighters, referee, event staff, and the person interrupting the action. Whatever happened afterward, the original stunt put a professional fight in an avoidable risk situation.

Karate Combat 61 also featured Larissa Pacheco’s elbow knockout over Julia Stasiuk, but the Winged C incident gave the event another controversy after the earlier Patricky Pitbull fight cancellation.
