- Caio Borralho defeated his fellow UFC middleweight contender Brendan Allen in a grappling match at Karate Combat 53
- Former UFC heavyweight Robelis Despaigne knocked his opponent out in seven seconds
Caio Borralho earned a decision win over Brendan Allen in a grappling match, while former UFC heavyweight Robelis Despaigne pulled off a seven-second knockout win at Karate Combat 53.
Another quick finish for “The Bad Boy”
Despaigne took on Roggers Souza in a main card heavyweight bout this past Friday at Karate Combat 53. The fight only lasted seven seconds as “The Bad Boy” knocked Souza down with his very first punch. Despaigne followed it up with a couple of punches until the referee stepped in to prevent further damage.
HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE???
Robelis Despaigne didn’t need more than ONE PUNCH to take his opponent down, and another one to secure to win.
This is 3 out of 3….
What are we going to do..

The quick and stunning KO win was Despaigne’s third consecutive first-round knockout win under the Karate Combat banner. It is also worth noting that the Cuban knockout artist had only spent a combined 16 seconds in his first two matches.
Before joining Karate Combat, Despaigne fought three times in the UFC. He secured an 18-second knockout win in his debut at UFC 299 in March 2023 before losing twice via decision.
UFC middleweights clashed in a grappling match
Allen was just six days away from his unanimous decision loss to Anthony Hernandez at UFC Seattle but he showed up to face his fellow UFC middleweight contender Borralho in the co-main event of Karate Combat 53.

The fight ended in a unanimous decision win for Borralho, who won both rounds. Both 185-pounders were evidently just enjoying their showdown but the Brazilian appeared to be the better grappler between the two.
Borralho beat Jared Cannonier via decision in his last trip to the Octagon at UFC Vegas 96.
