Patricky Pitbull and Shahzaib Rind brought extra chaos to Karate Combat 61 before the fight even reached the pit.
Patricky is set to debut for Karate Combat on Saturday in Miami against Rind, the promotion’s lightweight champion. At the final staredown, the former Bellator champion stepped into Rind’s space and wrapped him up around the body. Rind shoved at his face, then fired a head kick as they broke apart. It did not land.
The situation escalated when Patricio Pitbull, Patricky’s younger brother and a current UFC featherweight, moved in and exchanged punches with Rind. Staff quickly jumped between the groups, while another person from the Brazilian side also appeared to enter the clash.

Karate Combat 61 Gets A Volatile Miami Staredown
Patricky comes in trying to stop a six-match slide that includes five MMA defeats and a grappling loss to Arman Tsarukyan. His most recent MMA victory was a July 2023 knockout of Roberto Satoshi in Japan.
The Brazilian is listed at 25-16 with 17 knockout wins. Patricio, who entered the scuffle, previously held Bellator titles at featherweight and lightweight before joining the UFC featherweight roster.
Rind has gone unbeaten through eight Karate Combat appearances. He has captured the lightweight belt, defended it twice, and also scored a 2023 bare-knuckle MMA knockout over Carlos Guerra for Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA.
