Xbox One will be launching original TV programing in early 2014

So you have a shiny new Xbox One and outside of smashing zombies, slashing through barbarians and watching the NFL on there you are starting to yearn for something more from your Xbox Live membership, something akin to Netflix but really aimed at you, the gamer who owns a Microsoft console. Microsoft has decided that you are in luck and that they will be launching new original Xbox Live programming starting in early 2014.

There has been talk about Xbox Live programming for a while now, with talk of there being some sort of NFL-themed show (which probably wouldn’t be able to launch for this season if it comes out in early 2014) as well as a Steven Spielberg produced Halo series which we don’t really have any details for at all yet. So while there still isn’t any sort of details beyond this, the news is that whatever content Xbox plans to bring to the world it will be coming in early 2014 and no, it won’t be Xbox One exclusive, it will work on Xbox 360 as well.
