Today at Blizzcon, Blizzard opened the show with a bombshell that everyone expected, yet was still pleasantly devastating – The next WoW expansion will be called Warlords of Draenor. As an on again, off again WoW fanatic, I’m excited. I’m more of a WoW lore junkie than anything, as my competitive PVP and raiding days are long behind me. I’m fine with that, though, I’m all about just exploring the worlds at this point with my character that I’ve had for ages. It’s just too much to get back into an MMO now, so I might as well use my almost 10-year-old lock for the rest of his life. Oh, the adventures we had.
I hope they find a way to vary the gameplay more… But I digress. Here are the “deets” of the new expansion, if you will:
- New level cap to 100.
- New toon models (finally!)
- The ability to create player housing called “Garrisons” (???)
- Raise your characters to 90 to play immediately (lame?)
Just watch the trailer below. It’s pretty awesome. I don’t know if we’re going back in time, or we are actually visiting Draenor in the present day, but either way I’m happy. Expect it to be out this fall even if no one has said that declaratively.
I wish we had a new class… Monk isn’t doing it for me.
