The internet is banding together to get rich off the GTA V stock market

While Wall Street would slit the throat of a laughing child to get a buck, the internet is joining hands in solidarity to pump and dump stocks in GTA V. Yes, it may be illegal to do this in real life, but in Los Santos, this type of act is probably the most wholesome thing you can do outside of playing fetch with chop. If you’ve been following Zeus or I on Twitter, you may have noticed that we’ve been trading stock tips all weekend, and we’ve made millions.

Now it’s time to quadruple our cash and buy a mother****ing golf course, because Reddit and the players on the GTA forums have mobilized together to pump and dump the same stocks. Simply put: Invest in PIS and or HAL right now. Although your time may be running out on HAL, which we’ve seen gain massively over the last few days. PIS is getting pumped up until Monday afternoon (about 1PM PST), then the forums have agreed to sell the stock. I’ve made 55 million off this tip already, selling my stock after I gain at least 60%, then I rebuy in. An artificial stock split, if you will. First off, let Redditor StocksandBombsCrew explain the massive drop we saw in Ammu-Nation yesterday (that guy is awesome):

Looking at 10:45 GMT here and at similar data from yesterday, the drop in AMU was at the same time for the biggest gains in PIS and HAL. Take into account that the only big movement on stocks that has been out of character have been those three. This is because PIS and HAL are being mostly affected by investments from “pump and dump” campaigns; outside of that the biggest single changes are around 2% max while they hit 10% and above. Clothes, cars and other stocks that have been steadily rising are due more to story mode influence and safe bet investing. What blows my mind is that what it looks like to me is that AMU on 360 is the only stock being affected substantially by PIS and HAL. GTAO will shake things up, I’m sure but we’ll see some of the same basic behavior in typical stock movement outside of big movers as most people will repeat the investments they made in the story mode.

That AMU drop lost a lot of people their dirty money, but what everyone is suggesting now is to pump PIS (which is starting to even off as of this writing) and HAL. In fact, if you really want to eff with the in-game time/space continuum, you could create 2 saves, and put your savings in HAL or PIS and see which one works out for you.
