Tonight, we are going to experience something that only happens once every few years: a new expansion pack for Sid Meier’s Civililzation 5 is released. It’s called A Brave New World, and the expansion promises to bolster the Civ 5 experience even more. If you haven’t played a Civilization game, good for you. It’s like crack, horrible, horrible, just one more turn crack.
Nevertheless, we have decided to live stream our crack addictions, right as the new expansion comes out. We know this is a weird, niche thing to be live streaming, but we don’t care, because Sid Meier is a GOAT who would never close his eyes and try to enter the Matrix against an inspired east-coaster, if you know what I mean. Starting at 11:15 PST, fifteen minutes after the game launches, Dave Walsh and I will be starting up a new campaign to try out all of the cool new features, like spreading culture via tourism and the World Congress. I can’t wait. If that doesn’t sound like a thrilling time, we’re even bringing Gary LaPlante along so he can turn the conversation towards Mike Tyson and fart jokes (not necessarily in that order). Consider this MiddleEasy Radio 2.0. Oh wait, you never heard about that? Well if that depresses you, don’t even bring up the TV show.
