The argument started when Yair Rodriguez brought up Lopes’ nationality. He questioned why Lopes represents Mexico even though he was born in Brazil. Lopes fired back and pointed out that Rodriguez is coming off two losses and still in the title picture.

Accusations Lead to Security Stepping In
Things got more personal when Rodriguez accused Lopes and his team of being involved in an old altercation with his friend and former UFC fighter Marco Beltran. Lopes responded by claiming Rodriguez had once threatened a female teammate.
Security had to step in to break things up, and the energy in the room shifted as the press conference came to an intense end.
UFC 314 takes place on April 12 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Diego Lopes will face Alexander Volkanovski for the vacant featherweight title in the main event.
