Broken Age Act 1 Launching on Steam Early Access Jan. 28th

If you for some reason missed out on the Broken Age Kickstarter campaign back in 2012 (which seems like forever ago) then the time is approaching where you’ll be able to sit down and play the game, but that time won’t be today. If you did help fund the Kickstarter campaign then yes, you can play it today. Hell, I’m downloading it right now and will be playing it as soon as this article is done with, but for the rest of you, never fear, there is a release date in sight. Steam Early Access to Broken Age Act 1 will begin on January 28th, which you can head over to Steam right now and get 10% off of the $24.99 sticker price.

Broken Age Act 1 will be part one of two, launching on January 28th on PC, Mac and Linux via “early access.” That means that what you are getting will essentially be a beta with a few glitches and so forth, with the full game launching later this year hopefully being bug-free. Part of the reason for this beta is because of how long it took to develop the game and how antsy some of the backers were getting. I mean, the estimated delivery date on the original Kickstarter was Fall of 2012, so you can imagine people really wanting to play this game.

We won’t be able to post a full review of the game until the day before release, as there is an embargo upon it, but we’ll gauge how things go and if there is a flood of reviews out there we’ll probably not hold back much longer, but do expect thoughts on Broken Age Act 1 very shortly.
