The Lion King recreated with kittens and narrated by children is the cutest thing you will see this week

If you watched The Lion King and didn’t cry when Mufasa was trampled to death then you are a robot, devoid of emotions, or physically incapable of producing tears. Maybe I’m just a big softy. After all, not only do cartoon animals dying make me cry, but so does Cedric from The Mars Volta’s voice. C’mon, it’s called empathy! Look, you don’t need to agree with me on this point to appreciate the power of cute. Cute are those things that make you smile and forget you’re a grown-up with responsibilities and crippling debts. Cute is a child’s giggle, a dog being visibly excited when seeing it’s owner. Cute is watching children narrate a re-enactment of The Lion King, where kittens and cats play the roles of the lions, and the scenery and supporting cast are cardboard and paper cut-outs colored in with crayon.

This is exactly what The Pet Collective’s latest offering consists of, which should make your heart melt. Unless you are a robot, devoid of emotion or incapable of understanding cute.
