Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston reunite for Barely Legal Pawn

We miss Breaking Bad so much it hurts sometimes. Some of the guys here at Middle Easy contend that True Detective fills the void, but it’s like putting a medicated adhesive strip (Band-Aid is a registered name, and we don’t make much so we can’t afford to keep them in the offices here, yo) on a severed arm after a vengeful shark just chomped it off while you were clearing an obstruction from a buoy. (Jaws: The Revenge is on and I can’t find the remote). Thankfully Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston appear to miss the show as much as the fans do, and they still have the chemistry that made them so great together.

Enter: Barely Legal Pawn. A short video spoofing reality TV, while promoting the Academy Awards. Oh, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in it too! Sooo many Breaking Bad references, so many meta-jokes about the status of lead vs supporting roles, and the perfect ending.

Watch it, and comment on the Breaking Bad references that you catch. We might give you ME points. But we probably won’t. But we might!
