Last night (Sat. July 14, 2018) Manny Pacquiao,39, (60-7-2, 39 KOs) scored his first knockout victory inside the boxing ring since 2009.
Almost a year dusted off since a controversial decision loss to Jeff Horn, Pacquiao is champion again after dismantling of Argentine brawler Lucas Matthysse via seventh-round TKO win at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Pacquiao’s last knockout victory occurred back in 2009 when he thrashed Miguel Cotto in a scintillating performance.
Pacquiao the Filipino legend’, the only pugilist in history to win titles in eight divisions, also claimed Matthysse’s WBA regular welterweight title while full champion Keith Thurman continues to sit on the shelf with nagging injuries.
