The Match Between Keith Thurman And Josesito Lopez Was Interesting To Watch But The Hilarious Referee Steve Willis Went Viral Again!
WBA Welterweight champ Keith Thurman (29-0-1 NC, 22 KOs) returned to the ring after two years of a break because of injuries. He boxed against a big underdog Josesito Lopez (36-8-1 NC, 19 KOs) on Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and barely won the match via majority decision!
But the most noticeable man in the ring was the referee Steve Willis! The ref is already known for outstanding facial expressions and reactions. This fight was no different!
Lopez delivered a brutal punch in the seventh round, and Thurman was in big trouble! But Willis’ reaction to the punch was priceless. The referee “enjoyed the view”.
You gotta love Steve Willis
When Steve is in the ring, people are usually focused on his hilarious facial expressions. Sorry fighters. It is hard to watch your skills when this epic ref is around! Please, don’t be cruel. The man only gets hyped over good action!

Steve knows his actions make people laugh. Look at his interview from 2016.
He advised fans to stop looking at him and focus on the fight. (h/t Bloodyelbow)
“Y’all need to stop watching me and watch the fight. I’ve been wanting to say that for the last three, four fights. Stop watching me and watch the fight. There ain’t nothing to see here!”
Do you think Steve Willis is the funniest boxing referee ever? Did he make you laugh on Saturday night?
