The heavyweight bout was scheduled for 10 rounds. Fury controlled the fight behind his jab, switched stances, and worked combinations to the head and body while Wach struggled to build sustained offense. The stoppage gave Fury his first inside-the-distance win since his 2022 victory over Derek Chisora.
Fury entered the ring at 265 pounds, more than 26 pounds lighter than the 291.4-pound Wach. The unusual size gap did not change the direction of the fight. Wach had brief success with a right hand in the second round, but Fury settled back into control and the damage piled up before the eighth round could begin.
