Tyson Fury has shared why he didn’t talk to his wife, Paris, or their seven kids for three whole months. The famous boxer said he needed all his focus on training for his big rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

The fight is happening this Saturday, December 21, in Saudi Arabia. Tyson, also known as the Gypsy King, wants to win back the WBC, WBO, and WBA titles. He lost them earlier this year after a close match with Usyk, which was the first loss of his career.

Tyson Fury Didn’t Speak to His Wife for Three Months, Here’s Why

To get ready for this important fight, Tyson stayed away from his family and stopped all contact. He said that being the best means making big sacrifices. Even on a holiday, Tyson didn’t stop training. He kept up a busy schedule of 14 runs and 14 strength sessions over just two weeks.

“I’ve not spoken to Paris for three months,” Fury told TNT Sports. “Not a word, not spoke to anyone, not been on my phone, I’ve been away from it all. I just wanted to give myself the best opportunity I can.

“I don’t want to keep dividing modes from beast mode, to Dad mode, wife mode, I’ve not spoken to anybody on the phone, that’s it. I’ve just been in the camp the whole time.

“It’s difficult to keep switching. I’ve not spoken to anybody on the phone. Anybody who has called me has not been successful in getting hold of me in the last couple of months.

“I give up coffee for seven or eight weeks, Diet Cokes for the same amount of time, I don’t think it matters. I’ve taken vitamins for 12 months, came off them for 12 months, didn’t feel anything. I don’t think any of it makes a difference, not having certain things or doing certain things. It’s the goal for the individual to achieve.

“Just be happy and that’s all you can do. The hardest thing in the world is to stay in the moment. Not push for more or want more. Everybody is always pushing for more. Even I’m pushing for more, everybody is.”

Paris Fury, who has been married to Tyson since 2008, finally spoke about this long silence. She shared a picture on her social media with their oldest son, Prince John James, as they traveled to Saudi Arabia to watch the fight. Paris showed her support for Tyson, even though it’s been hard for the family not to see him for so long.

Paris posted a video on her Instagram story where ‘The Gypsy King’ talks about all the things he gave up, and she said: “People don’t see the sacrifices made. I’ve let him solely concentrate on this fight. It seems like he’s been gone forever, especially with no contact. But if it’s what he needs.”

Tyson and Paris have been together since they were teenagers. They’ve built a big family and supported each other through every challenge. This time, Paris seems to understand how much this fight means to Tyson, even if it meant being apart.

The fight is just days away, and fans everywhere are waiting to see what happens. Tyson’s hard work and sacrifices show how serious he is about being a champion. Paris and their son will be watching from the crowd, hoping all his efforts pay off.

Whether he wins or not, Tyson’s journey shows how much heart he puts into boxing.
