Tyson Fury’s old heavyweight rival Deontay Wilder was just back in the spotlight in London, and now Fury is officially locked in for his own weekend assignment against Arslanbek Makhmudov. Conor Benn and Regis Prograis are official too, with the final weigh-ins complete and the last faceoffs in the books.
Fury weighed 267.8 pounds, with Makhmudov coming in at 264.9, setting the stage for a heavyweight matchup between one of the sport’s biggest names and a dangerous finisher who now gets his biggest spotlight. Fury heads into this fight after his last outing against Deontay Wilder, while Makhmudov arrives with a chance to smash his way into a much bigger tier if he can pull this off.
Benn and Prograis also got through the scale without any late issues. Benn comes into this one after last fighting Chris Eubank Jr., and he signed with Zuffa Boxing earlier this year. Prograis is looking to bounce back after his most recent fight against Jack Catterall. That adds a little more heat to the pairing because both guys need a meaningful win, just for very different reasons.
The card got through the last hurdle without any drama
This is what the weigh-in portion is supposed to look like. Everybody made it, nobody tanked the event on the scale, and the final staredowns did their job by adding one last push before fight night. Fury and Makhmudov gave the main event its proper big-man visual, while Benn and Prograis brought a different kind of tension, the kind that usually shows up when both sides know exactly what a loss would do.

The card also lands at a time when boxing has been leaning hard into crossover attention and big-event spectacle, which is part of why a matchup like Tommy Fury’s latest faceoff-heavy booking keeps pulling headlines. Fury is still the biggest name on this bill, but Benn and Prograis gives the show another fight with real stakes attached to it. One side has size and spectacle, the other has urgency. Now that the weigh-ins are complete, there is nothing left between these matchups and the bell.
