With less than two months before their highly anticipated rematch, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk went face-to-face at a press event in London.

On December 21, both fighters will return to the site of their first meeting—Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—for one of the biggest rematches in boxing history. Last May, Usyk came out on top in their inaugural affair, securing a split decision victory to become boxing’s first unified heavyweight world champion in more than two decades.

Now, the two heavyweight titans will run it back. But first, fight fans were treated to the first face-off as the road to ‘Reignited’ officially kicked off.

Tyson Fury Ready to Put His Loss Against Oleksandr Usyk Behind Him Ahead of Rematch

Fury’s loss to Usyk was the first of his professional boxing career, snapping a 34-fight unbeaten streak.

“We’ve got to put that [loss] behind us, what happened in the fight,” Fury said at the press event. “I have to be a little bit more focused and a little bit more smart to get the victory. I always end up knocking them out in the rematch. Whoever I’ve faced more than once, I’ve ended up knocking them out in the rematch. I believe it’s my time this time. I believe that all things that happen, negative or positive, are lessons.”

Unlike their first fight, the rematch won’t be for the unified heavyweight world title. Usyk lost that designation earlier this year when he declined a mandatory IBF title fight against challenger Filip Hrgovic.
