Tony Ferguson added another chapter to his post UFC career on Saturday night, earning a unanimous decision victory against Warren Spencer at Misfits Mania inside Dubai’s Duty Free Tennis Stadium. The bout crowned Ferguson as the Misfits middleweight champion after a demanding five round contest that leaned heavily on pressure, volume, and experience.

Now 41 years old, Ferguson continues his transition into boxing following his departure from the UFC earlier this year. This appearance followed his August outing at Misfits 22, where he stopped Salt Papi in a controversial finish that awarded him the interim version of the same title.

Early Rounds

The opening frame set the tone. Ferguson advanced steadily behind a probing jab while Spencer attempted to stay long and score with single shots. Neither fighter rushed exchanges, but Ferguson’s forward pressure gradually limited Spencer’s space.

In the second round, Ferguson increased his output. His jab found a rhythm and forced Spencer backward. A sharp right hand briefly disrupted Spencer’s balance, shifting momentum clearly in Ferguson’s favor.

Middle Rounds

Round three saw Spencer attempt to rally, throwing wider combinations to slow Ferguson’s advance. While he landed sporadically, Ferguson absorbed the shots and responded with steady counters. The sustained pressure began to wear on Spencer, who spent extended moments covering up near the ropes.

The fourth round proved to be Spencer’s most competitive stretch. He landed clean rights and momentarily checked Ferguson’s pace. Still, Ferguson answered with volume, keeping control through activity rather than power.

Final Round

Entering the fifth, Spencer appeared to need a finish. Ferguson denied that opportunity by staying aggressive, snapping jabs and forcing exchanges in close quarters. A late surge nearly produced a stoppage, but Spencer survived to hear the final horn.

Official Result

Tony Ferguson defeated Warren Spencer by unanimous decision with judges’ scores of 49–45, 49–45, and 48–46.

After the decision, Ferguson addressed the crowd while standing alongside his opponent, expressing appreciation for competition and longevity in combat sports.

“I love being an athlete, and boxing is another chance for me to demonstrate to all you motherf*ckers that it’s fun,” Ferguson said.

He also credited Spencer for his toughness and closed the moment on a lighter note, saying the two planned to celebrate together afterward.
