Jake Paul’s old coach, Shannon Briggs, said he will knock out Jake if Jake beats Mike Tyson in Texas. Shannon worked with Jake and his brother Logan when they first started fighting. Shannon really likes Mike Tyson now.
Shannon is 54 years old and used to be a big champion. He hasn’t fought since 2016 but says he’s not retired and thinks other fighters are scared of him. He wants to fight in March and says he can knock out Jake if Jake beats Tyson.
“I’m not retired, it’s just that nobody wants to fight me. I’m just inactive because they are scared. They’re scared of me,” Briggs told talkSPORT.
“I’m looking to fight in March, and if Jake beats Mike Tyson then I’m going to avenge Mike and knock Jake out cold.
“That’s what I want to do if he wins… I’m telling you first if Mike loses then I’ve got to do this for the neighbourhood. You see the hat? Brownsville Boxing Academy. I can’t let Mike go out like that.”

Jake Paul is going to fight Mike Tyson at a big stadium in Texas called AT&T Stadium, which can hold 90,000 people. Mike Tyson is 58 years old, and Jake Paul is 31, so some people are worried because Mike is much older and not in his prime anymore, while Jake is in his best shape. Even Jake’s girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, a top speed skater from the Netherlands, shared her worries on Jake’s podcast, saying Tyson is “just scary.”
“He’s the competitor that is the most scary to me,” she said.
Jake Paul previously said he could make around £31 million ($40 million) from the fight. He told SPORTbible that he has some guaranteed money and some extra bonuses, like if the fight sells a lot, he can get even more money.
“This is definitely my biggest payday, of all the fights for sure. It is definitely a healthy payday.”
It’s expected that 500 million people will watch the fight, making it one of the biggest sports events ever.
