Ryan Garcia continues to declare his innocence.
In June, Garcia was suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission following his positive tests for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine. The suspension is retroactive to April 20, the night he defeated Devin Haney via majority decision at the Barclays Center in NYC.
The result has since been ruled a no contest and Garcia was forced to forfeit his $1.2 million purse and was fined $10,000 by the commission.
In the months since, ‘King Ryan’ has defended himself relentlessly, suggesting that the banned substance in his system was the result of a tainted supplement—among other things.
Recently, Garcia took to social media to debunk rumors that he had finally pleaded guilty to the accusations.
“Why is it circling around now that I plead guilty to PED’s,” Garcia wrote on X. “I let the NYSAC make the decision they wanted to do which was a one year suspension. Bc I was advised that even if this was taken to court no matter what the court decided the NYSAC will still do whatever they wanted to me I never took steroids.”

Fans Roast Ryan Garcia Online
Unsurprisingly, fans online weren’t interested in buying the bullsh*t Garcia was trying to sell this time around.
“King Ostarine let’s goooo!!”
“lol why you didn’t prove your self innocent like you said you was?”
“Dude you’re just talking. You havent proven anything. The claims you pleaded youll show your innocence came back contrary to it. A PED, drug addict, alcoholic words is only trusted to a certain extent.”
“You were doped up stop lying”
“So u just said “f*ck it” to the biggest win of your career cuz u ain’t feel like goin to court? O aight smh”
“Yes you did cheater. You’re trash.”
“You’re a racist cheat. Acknowledge that, and move on, live your truth. And oh yeah, repent.”
“What a lying dog son of the devil. The NYSAC had ample evidence you went a tainted substance. The nutrabio testing showed 0 traces of any PED. You settled for a year ban and he at fines bc if you fought it and an investigation went on you would’ve got far worse.”
“The thing that makes it bad is the story changed so many times, the hair test said this or that, they spiked the water, they switched the test, it was ashwaganda, it was this supplement it was that supplement. It was just too many stories.”

Garcia won’t be eligible to return to the ring until April 20, 2025. However, rumors began circulating that ‘King Ryan’ could travel to Japan for a bout with legendary pugilist Manny Pacquiao. The Sun reported earlier this month that RIZIN FF—the promotion that recently hosted Pacquiao’s return to the ring in July—has initiated talks with Garcia.
RIZIN CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara also addressed Garcia’s suspension by the NYSAC, claiming that since a fight with Pacquaio would be “unofficial,” the commission likely wouldn’t kick up too much of a fuss.
“If this unofficial fight were to happen in Rizin, in Japan, I believe there will be no reason for the New York State Athletic Commission to try to stop Ryan,” Sakakibara said.
