The fight is being positioned as a WBC welterweight title fight. Garcia is listed at 25-2 with 20 knockouts after winning the belt against Mario Barrios in Las Vegas. Benn is listed at 25-1 with 14 knockouts and is entering the first world title fight of his career.

The announcement also confirms the business structure around the fight. Garcia remains tied to Golden Boy Promotions, while Benn has been part of Zuffa Boxing’s early push since signing his multi-fight deal.
