Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested on September 18, 2025, for felony battery. Los Angeles County jail records show he was booked at 9:00 a.m. and remains in custody on $50,000 bail. TMZ first reported the arrest. The charge stems from an August 24, 2025, incident at a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event in Sun Valley, California. Jackson, 25, stormed the ring, slammed wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith to the mat, and punched him over 20 times, leaving him unconscious. Smith suffered jaw fractures, a lip laceration, a maxilla bone fracture, and lost teeth, requiring days in intensive care.
The attack followed a backstage misunderstanding where Smith hit Jackson with a beer can, thinking he was another wrestler. They shook hands after Smith apologized, but Jackson, in a live stream, vowed to “get revenge for real” during the match. Rampage called it a “work gone wrong” and condemned his son’s actions.
Felony Battery Charge After Unscripted Attack
Los Angeles police filed a felony battery report but made no arrests immediately. The investigation took weeks. Jackson a 25 year old MMA fighter did not respond to comment requests. The event organizer KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy called the act reprehensible. They monitored Smiths health but gave no further details.
The attack happened during a match. Jackson stormed the ring unscripted. Smith 44 was in a bout when Jackson slammed him. Smith choked on blood and teeth. Wrestler Douglas Malo helped pull Jackson away. Malo said KnokX discouraged wrestlers from speaking to police.
Smiths brother Andrew Smith said Stuart is conscious and has some recollection of the day. Smith spent days in intensive care. He suffered trauma to upper and lower jaws a lip laceration maxilla bone fracture and lost several teeth. A GoFundMe raised over 207000 dollars for his recovery. Smiths wife called it an unscripted assault.

The incident sparked strong criticism across the wrestling world. Veteran reporter Dave Meltzer labeled it “maybe the worst thing I’ve ever seen in a ring,” and Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy called the act “heinous” and “selfish” in an official release.
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, the father of Raja, was one of the loudest voices. At first, he described the situation as “a work that went wrong,” but later clarified his thoughts on The Ariel Helwani Show. He criticized all those involved, mentioning that the beer can may have caused Raja a concussion, yet acknowledged that his son clearly went over the line.
Raja Jackson comes from an MMA background, compiling a 4-0 amateur record before suffering a loss in his pro debut against Steve Collins at UFL 3 in December 2023.
