Morgan Clarifies His Commentary
Morgan took to X to explain his earlier remarks:
“I posted a few weeks ago that Jake Paul’s boxing career has been ‘boring staged bullsh*t.’ What I meant is that his fights have been predominantly against older, past-their-prime opponents… I did not intend to suggest that the outcome was predetermined and certainly didn’t mean to suggest anything illegal.”
He also said:
“But if reports are correct that Jake is now in negotiations to fight Anthony Joshua, that would obviously be a seriously credible bout… Jake is welcome to come on Uncensored to discuss this.”

Morgan added firmly that his message was a clarification—not an apology:
“I didn’t issue any apology groveling or otherwise. I clarified I didn’t mean he fixed results… I’m not a peasant, I’m not on my knees, he didn’t sue me, and I didn’t apologise.
I agreed to delete the post and clarify that I didn’t mean he rigs the results of his fights, because I don’t believe that.”
“But I also believe that if he wants to be taken seriously as a boxer, he needs to test himself against top current pros, not old retired ones.”

Paul Fights Back with Law
Jake Paul responded on Instagram:
“The first peasant that I sue gets on his knees and apologises. Who am I suing next for lying on my name?”
He has hired Alex Spiro, a lawyer known for representing Elon Musk and Alec Baldwin. Spiro said:
“I’ve been retained by Mr. Paul to pursue legal redress for the damages he has suffered. If someone uses their public soapbox to harm him and the sport with lies there will be consequences.”
Paul’s team, Most Valuable Promotions’ co-founder Nakisa Bidarian, went further:
“Enough is enough.”
He insisted the Chavez Jr. fight was a legitimate, sanctioned 10-round bout, and called Morgan’s comments “baseless and irresponsible.”
Tensions rose after Morgan interviewed Paul ahead of the Chavez Jr. fight on Uncensored. The fight, which followed Paul’s knockout of 58-year-old Mike Tyson, spurred conspiracy theories. Morgan labeled it an “unwatchable farce” and part of office driven by easy opponents. Paul abruptly ended the interview and later vowed legal consequences for such remarks.
Paul, holding a 12-1 record, is reportedly in talks for a fight with heavyweight star Anthony Joshua. The legal moves and media standoff signal he’s taking his boxing career and public image seriously—and aggressively defending it.
