Where others see controversy, Jake Paul sees an opportunity.
Of course, we’re talking about none other than the media firestorm surrounding women’s boxing in the Paris Olympics with Imane Khelif vs. Angela Carini. Khelif defeated Carini in their bout, making the Italian quit in a mere 46 seconds, though the result wouldn’t come without controversy…
Carini On The Loss To Khelif
Last year, Khelif was one of two boxers who failed a gender eligibility test and was disqualified from the women’s world championships. Khelif has denied claims that she has XY chromosomes (typically found in men). Khelif qualified for the Paris Olympics and beat up Carini in the opening round with Carini saying she had “never been hit so hard in my life“.
The overwhelmed Carini fell to her knees in tears post-fight and didn’t shake hands with her opponent in the ring.
“I felt a severe pain in my nose, and with the maturity of a boxer, I said ‘enough,’ because I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to, I couldn’t finish the match,” Carini said following the loss (via AP News).
Jake Paul Sends An Invitation To Angela Carini
Not all is lost for Carini with the Italian boxer receiving a ton of support following her loss to Imane Khelif. Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer as well as a promoter, would extend a helping hand to the 25 year-old, offering Carini a spot on a future Most Valuable Promotions’ (MVP) fight card.
“To Angela Carini although your dreams couldn’t come true today because of the crazy agendas that are at play in our world at the moment, I would love to offer you to fight on an MVP undercard, to show the world your talents on a fair platform and not against a man. Internet help this find her,” Paul wrote on ‘X‘ on Thursday.
Paul is set to box Mike Tyson this November, with a femme fatale in the co-headliner with Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor. Paul took a short hiatus from boxing in 2022 to promote their first super-fight, which resulted in a closely-contested win for Taylor.
Logan Paul’s Thoughts On The Controversy
Jake wasn’t the only Paul in the news with his brother Logan tweeting and deleting a post about his two cents on the boxing match that took place between Carini and Khelif, writing:
“This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before your eyes. A man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father. This delusion must end.”

‼️ OOPSIES ‼️
I might be guilty of spreading misinformation along with the entirety of this app
Although she’s been previously disqualified for failing a “gender test” and has XY chromosomes, some sources say Imane Khelif was born a biological woman
I stand by my sentiment… https://t.co/oVfWARylCJ pic.twitter.com/S2QvHPHwWg

Is my opinion that men shouldn’t be allowed to compete against women transphobic?
