- Nate Diaz engaged in a physical altercation with some members of Jake Paul’s team
- The UFC legend and “The Problem Child” have been keen on facing each other in boxing
Former UFC star Nate Diaz was at the Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva fight at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona to support his teammate Chris Avila, who fought and beat Mike Varshavski. But as expected, Diaz and his entourage got into some physical altercation with some members of Jake Paul’s team.
A Stockton slap was thrown
Paul was victorious in the toughest fight of his boxing career. After a competitive seven-round back-and-forth with Silva, “The Problem Child” knocked the former UFC champion down in the eight and final round.
The YouTuber secured the decision win, but his team was on the wrong end of a dust-up with Diaz’s team outside the arena prior to the main event.
In a video circulating on the internet, Diaz and his team was seen having some verbal exchange with another group, which was later identified as some members of Paul’s team. In it, a camera caught the UFC legend threw a slap at a bald and tattooed-headed guy.
There was a lot of jawing from both groups, but event security was able to stop Diaz’s team from causing further trouble.

It almost got ugly
Showtime presenter and MMA journalist Ariel Helwani reported that there was roughly “over 20 people” involved in the dust-up. Helwani said things almost “almost got ugly” but the security managed to stop Diaz’s team and they were never seen again since then.
To follow up on what Jake said in there, when I was in the back I saw the Diaz team and the Paul team get into it. Big scuffle. Pushes. Got physical and drinks were thrown. Over 20 people involved. Almost got ugly but they broke it up and then the Diaz team weren’t seen again.

(Cont’d) Diaz team were en route to a suite up top and that’s when it all went down. And then when it was over they went to their suite and not back to their ringside seats. /fin

Paul vs. Diaz is looming
After leaving the UFC, Diaz has expressed his desire to switch to boxing and take on Paul. The YouTube star, on the other hand, had also called Diaz out in the past, and judging by how the ex-UFC star behaved during the weigh-in show, it appears that a Paul vs. Diaz boxing match is brewing.
