- Mike Tyson will face thorough physical examinations ahead of his boxing match with Jake Paul
- “Iron Mike” made a comment in a recent interview that suggests a possible health problem
Mike Tyson is expected to be thoroughly examined for any health issues ahead of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul after making a concerning comment.
The physicians need to be sure
The original date for the Paul vs. Tyson boxing match was rescheduled from July to November due to the boxing legend’s serious medical condition. This time, The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation [TDLR] is ensuring that Tyson is 100% healthy and fit to fight.
The physical examinations for the bout was supposedly for formality but the TLDR was prompted to thoroughly examine the 58-year-old after he recently told Intelligencer in an interview that:
“I had, like, eight blood transfusions. The doctor said I lost half my blood. I almost died.”
TLDR Communications Manager Tela Goodwin then revealed that they will do everything to prevent Tyson from experiencing any life-and-death situation come fight night. To do so, in-depth physicals must be performed on the former boxing champion.
“Thorough pre-fight physicals will be conducted by TDLR-appointed physicians, who will discuss Mr Tyson’s medical history with him,” Goodwin told Bloody Elbow.
Tyson knows the difference between him and Jake
As it stands, Tyson has not shown any sign of weaknesses. If anything, “The Baddest Man on the Planet” is even very confident about his training.
Heading into his boxing return, “Iron Mike” got fans hyped after pointing out that Paul is just a “manufactured killer” while he, on the other hand, is a “natural-born killer.”
Paul vs. Tyson is just days away from happening. The bout will take place on Nov. 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas and will be streamed live and free on Netflix.
