- Mike Tyson explained why he believes he has a “sickness” in him when it comes to training
- The 58-year-old has transformed his body and is confident about finishing Jake Paul
Mike Tyson opened up about his rare habit which he considers a “sickness” as he revealed his normal training routine heading into his fight with Jake Paul.
Tyson can’t stop it
Speaking on the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, the boxing legend detailed his regular morning workout as he gears up for his highly-anticipated return. According to Tyson, once he gets going, he can’t stop himself from working out even when it’s time to recover.
“Normally after you workout, it takes really two days for the body to recover. I’m the kind of guy, when I’m on my recovery time, I don’t know, I might do 6000 reps on the rower. It’s just a sickness in me. It’s just the sickness,” Tyson admitted.
“I get up in the morning, I do the road work, four miles on the treadmill. Four-five miles, I can’t do it outside, people f**k with me. Right, so I do the treadmill. After that, I do the rower for like, I might do 3000 rows, then comeback, and do another 3000, and the next morning, do another 3000. That’s 7000 rows within a day and a half,” he added.

Tyson is shredded at 58
Despite his age, Tyson has been training like a beast. In fact, he boasted some photos of his incredibly shredded physique ahead of the fight.
It has been almost 20 years since “The Baddest Man on the Planet” fought professionally but he plans to take “The Problem Child” out once they step inside the ring. Paul vs. Tyson will take place on Nov. 15th at the AT&T Stadium and will be streamed live for free on Netflix.
