Michael Bisping thinks KSI’s most recent boxing win should be ruled a disqualification.
The interest in celebrity boxing continues to be on the rise. Fans are invested in a handful of celebrity boxers and at the forefront of that genre in KSI. The YouTuber/rapper turned boxer is making his way in this new sport. He is finding success at the professional level of boxing by taking out other celebrities inside the squared circle. Despite his winning ways, he now is under scrutiny following his last win.
KSI took on Joe Fournier, another celebrity/billionaire in the main event of the Misfit Boxing event held on Saturday night. He won the fight by second-round knockout but after further review, it seems as though KSI hit Fournier with an elbow and not a glove strike. Immediately following the event, Fourier and his team took to social media to protest the win. They will be appealing the result to the Professional Boxing Association. Now UFC commentator and combat sports analyst Michael Bisping thinks that is a good idea.
Why you lying still? No part of your glove made contact with Joe’s face on that elbow. That was not a hook. That was straight up a right elbow to the jawbone. Good form but wrong sport.
Your whole promotion is sham. Bad look for the sport of boxing. Your “commission” PBA should… https://t.co/CmZPlN5AWi pic.twitter.com/by2HtAcrjZ

Michael Bisping thinks KSI should have been disqualified for an elbow strike in a boxing match
Bisping was among the many analysts who took a look at the strike from KSI in the match. He believes that the blow that knocked out Fourier was by the elbow of KSI and not the fist. He spoke about the consequences on his YouTube channel.
“So right now it’s a win for KSI in round two, and of course, we’ve seen it. Elbows are not allowed in boxing, but okay with the benefit of instant replay. With the benefit of video. You can see that wasn’t a punch,” he said. “We got to be honest here that fight should be either a disqualification or a no contest. It just really should. That is the reality of the situation. The Professional Boxing Association needs to look at that, they were acting as the commissioners for the fight. They need to look at that and then do the right thing. You got to overturn the fight.”
Bisping went on to explain how he believes the elbow was not done intentionally, but others on social media, including Jake Paul are not as convinced. KSI served as a promotor for this bout and with enough controversy could possibly set up a rematch. However, after the win, he was face to face with Tommy Fury which could be an even bigger fighting opportunity for him.
