- Joe Rogan fears for Mike Tyson ahead of his boxing match with Jake Paul
- The famous podcaster is still rooting for the boxing legend
Joe Rogan voiced his concern for Mike Tyson ahead of his upcoming boxing match with Jake Paul and wants the 58-year-old to win.
Joe doesn’t want to see Mike gets flattened out
Speaking on The JRE podcast, Rogan admitted that he would definitely be sad the moment he sees “The Baddest Man on the Planet” gets knocked out by “The Problem Chjild.”
“I really hope he [Paul] doesn’t knock Mike Tyson out. I’ll just be really bummed out to see Mike get KO’d at 58 years old,” the UFC color commentator said.
Joe is rooting for Mike
Delving deeper into the subject, Rogan noted that Tyson has been removed from the sport for so long it’s kind of impossible to see shades of the old “Iron Mike.” However, Rogan also emphasized that Tyson is still a “monster” and the best thing that could happen is the boxing legend taking out Paul.
“Mike [Tyson] also has layers upon layers of attacks that are in his mind. He’s forgotten more about boxing that Jake Paul has ever remembered… At the end of the day, Mike’s a monster and if he could get that monster to just move in and close the distance. And if he uncorks a ‘boo-boom’ on Jake Paul and Jake Paul go to queer street, that would be wild. To watch a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, that’d be best case scenario for the world. Worst case scenario is, someone gets hurt,” Rogan added.
As expected, Paul is confident about beating Tyson though some are convinced that the former heavyweight champ would finish him. The bout was rescheduled to Nov. 15 due to Tyson’s medical issue but as it stands, “Iron Mike” is certain his health wouldn’t be a disadvantage this time.
