Jake Paul explained why he refused to knock Mike Tyson out and talked about potential bouts with Gervonta Davis and Conor McGregor.

Jake respects Tyson

Speaking to the media after his unanimous decision win over “Iron Mike,” Paul came clean about not intentionally not hurting Tyson. According to “The Problem Child,” he knew the fans would love to see a knockout but his respect for the boxing legend prevailed.

“I wanted to give the fans a show but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt,” Paul said.

“I mean, [I carried him] a little bit,” he added. “There was a point where I was just like he’s not really engaging back and I don’t know if he’s tired or whatever. I could just tell his age was showing a little bit and I just have so much respect for him and that like, violence, war thing between us, after he slapped me I wanted to be aggressive and take him down and knock him out and all that stuff but that kind of went away as the rounds went on.”

Paul was also told about Davis’ dig at him following his win. As it turns out, “Tank” didn’t like what he saw and threatened to teach “The Problem Child” a lesson.

When asked about a possible fight with the lightweight boxing champ, Paul quickly agreed but jokingly asked if Davis’ height would be an issue in their matchup.

“I’d be down. Let’s run it, I’d be super, super down,” Paul said of facing Davis. “Is there a height limit in boxing?”

As for McGregor, Paul seems to be so over the idea and concluded that “Notorious” will never want to fight him.

“Yeah, he’ll never do that though. He knows. He’s not his own boss. And it’s funny to say Conor McGregor is scared of Jake Paul, but it’s the f**king truth. Look at him go toe to toe with Nate Diaz, who was easy work for me. It was like a Monday sparring session to beat Nate Diaz’s a**, so he doesn’t ever want the smoke with me, it won’t ever happen,” he added.

As it stands, Paul is focused on convincing Canelo Alvarez to agree to a super fight. Until then, “The Problem Child” will enjoy his massive win, having added Tyson to his resume. He now has a pro boxing record of 11-1.
